Brian Adeba is a seasoned policy advisor, journalist, and leader with more than a decade of experience —starting in Kitchener Centre.

His journey began in journalism, in Kitchener in 2005 as a summer reporter for The Record. Five years later, he returned to work at a local think tank, and since then, he and his family have built strong roots in the community.

Service has always been at the heart of Brian’s career. As a deputy director of policy at an international organization, he worked to expose corruption and hold non-democratic governments accountable. He has helped manage a million-dollar project for an international non-profit organization, led teams of professionals, and advised on policies that impact everyday lives. His experience in media and international affairs has provided him with a deep understanding of governance, human rights, and the challenges that people in Kitchener face.

Beyond his professional work, Brian is an active volunteer, advocating for human rights with an Amnesty International local chapter in Waterloo Region in years past, engaging with local Liberal associations, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the community.

He holds degrees in journalism from Carleton University, the University of King’s College, and Daystar University in Kenya. His insights have been featured on BBC, CNN International, Al Jazeera, and NPR, and he has been quoted in The Globe and Mail, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

Brian is committed to policies that uplift people, strengthen democracy, and create real opportunities. Kitchener Centre deserves a leader who listens, acts, and brings both experience and passion to the table.
